Experience the Joy of Meaningful Work and Community at Finca Soley

At Finca Soley, volunteering is more than just work—it’s about making a positive impact, embracing a sustainable lifestyle, and connecting deeply with the world around you. Whether it’s tending to the gardens, caring for animals, teaching children, or building friendships, every moment offers the chance to create meaningful memories and learn valuable skills.

What We Need from You

To make the most of your experience and contribute positively to our community, we ask that volunteers bring:

  • Physical Fitness: Farm work is rewarding but can be physically demanding, so being in good health and prepared for hands-on tasks is essential.

  • Positive Attitude: A cheerful, can-do mindset is key to fully embracing the challenges and joys of farm life.

  • Willingness to Participate: We value volunteers who are eager to integrate into our daily life and contribute to the communal spirit of Finca Soley.

  • Love for Nature and Animals: A genuine appreciation for the outdoors and caring for animals is at the heart of what we do.

  • Open to All Ages: Whether you’re young or young at heart, we welcome volunteers from all walks of life who are ready to roll up their sleeves and dive in.

  • Work approximately 5 hours per day.

What You’ll Do

Your time at Finca Soley will be a blend of hands-on learning and cultural exchange. Activities include:

  • Community Engagement: Teach English to local children, organize fun activities, and get to know the welcoming people of rural Costa Rica.

  • Animal Care: Tend to the farm’s animals, including feeding, grooming, and milking cows.

  • Gardening & Sustainability: Work in our vegetable gardens, care for fruit trees, and learn about organic farming, permaculture, and composting.

  • Craftsmanship & Creativity: Help with building and maintenance projects, create fences, or contribute to art projects that beautify the farm.

  • Traditional Homesteading Skills: Make cheese, bake bread, and learn time-honored techniques for self-sufficiency.

There’s always something to do, and each task contributes to the sustainable and vibrant life of our farm.

From teaching English to forming bonds with locals, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the culture, traditions, and way of life here.
